Della M. Allen

Della M. Allen, age 96, of Hamilton, passed away at Ft. Hamilton Hospital on Thursday, November 27, 2003, at 2:10 p.m. She was born in Richmond, Kentucky, on August 21, 1907, the daughter of John and Provie (Rose) Cates. Della was a homemaker and devoted mother. On February 5, 1926, in Hamilton, she was married to Hobart G. Allen and he preceded her in death in 1976.

She is survived by one daughter, Bettie and her husband Robert Braun of Hamilton and several nieces and nephews, including her devoted niece, Betty Gibson of Hamilton. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband and a sister, Thimba Evans.

Funeral service will be held at the Brown Dawson Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Tuesday, December 2, 2003, at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Larry DeLozier of Covenant Community Church, officiating. Burial will be in Hickory Flat Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Grace United Methodist Church, 1200 Main Street, Hamilton Ohio 45013 or the American Heart Association.
