George Thomas Taylor & Bertha Thomas Taylor

George, born January 17, 1872 in Madison Co. Ky. and died October 21, 1957 and Bertha was born July 23, 1882 in Estill Co. Ky. and died July 23, 1882. They were married on October 15, 1902 in Estill Co., Ky. They are both buried in the Richmond Cemetery, Madison Co., Ky.

John Gideon Taylor & Martha Eleanor Edwards Taylor

John-born April 09, 1842 in Estill Co., Ky. and died May 06, 1921 in Madison Co., Ky.

Martha-born May 10, 1845 in Lee Co., Va. and died February 17, 1929 in Madison Co., Ky. They were married on October 20, 1866. They were buried in the  Richmond Cemetery, Madison Co., Ky.

Martha Eleanor Edwards Taylor, widow of John Gideon Taylor; d/o Dr. George Grant Edwards and Mary Polly Woodward from Lee Co., Va. She born May 10, 1845 in Lee Co., Va. and died February 17, 1929 in Madison Co., Ky. She is buried in the Richmond Cemetery, Madison Co., Ky. This picture was sent to me by a cousin in Florida. Thomas Taylor and Samira Portwood were my great-great-grandparents. Both were born, lived, and married in Madison Co. After their marriage they moved to Estill Co. lived and died and are buried somewhere on Pea Ridge. Thomas Taylor was born March 30, 1817 and died on September 11, 1878. He married Samira Portwood on June 01, 1841. Samira Portwood was born on December 25, 1825 and exact date of death is unknown. I would like very much to know the date of death for Samira Portwood Taylor. This picture was sent me from a cousin in Florida.

Bertha Thomas Taylor, w/o George Thomas Taylor. Bertha was born July 23, 1882 in Estill Co. and died June 27, 1960 in Madison Co. There is no date on the picture possibly in the 1950's.

Mayme Taylor (1912-1992), d/o George Thomas & Bertha (Thomas) Taylor and Eleanor Chambers were first cousins and 13 years old in this photo. According to the 1920 census the Taylor family lived on Irvine Pike and the Chambers Family lived on Otter Creek Pike. Taken in 1924 at the Kavanaugh School.

Mayme Taylor, d/o George Thomas Taylor & Bertha Thomas Taylor. She was the w/o Samuel Clay Benton and they married on September 13, 1936 at 617 High St., Paris, Bourbon Co., Kentucky.  She was born November 27, 1912 in Madison Co. and died on September 07, 1992 in Fayette Co. She is buried in the Paris Cemetery, Bourbon Co., Ky. Children of George Thomas Taylor & Bertha Thomas Taylor with wives or husbands.

L-R: Ryburn Thomas (born 1892), Bertha Thomas, George Thomas Taylor, Pedro Thomas (1888-1963), and Lelia Thomas Rache (1883-1979). Ryburn, Pedro, & Lelia are brothers and sister of Bertha, my grandmother. Taken 10/15/1952 at George & Bertha's 50th wedding anniversary.

George Thomas Taylor (1872-1957), taken in July 1943 at Lake Reba in Madison County. Grandpaw Taylor loved to go the Lake Reba and fish.

(Left to right) Stanley Ruche (no dates), Pedro Thomas (1888-1963), Lelia Thomas Ruche (1883-1979), Bertha Thomas Taylor (1882-1960), Clay Benton (1910-1995), and Mayme Taylor Benton (1912-1992). Clay & Mayme Benton are my parents. Pedro Thomas, Lelia Thomas Ruche, and Bertha Thomas Taylor are brother and sisters.
