Andrew Anderson’s Will
In the name of God amen I Andrew Anderson of Kentucky Livingston
county being of perfect mind and memory make this my last will
and Testament. first I desire to be privately buried my temporal
state I bequeath and dispose of in the following manner first to
pay all my just debts to my wife Maryann I bequeath my household
furniture & a horse to ride and a competent maintenance all for her
to dispose of as she pleaseth to my daughter Sinthy I bequeath one
horse that she claims and a cow and calf and a bed and furniture
the residue and remainder of my estate land and plantation tools
and shop tools notes and accounts I give to my two sons Thomas
and Richard all to be divided betwixt them with my horse
cattle and hogs according to quantity and quallity [sic] equally
betwixt them to my son Andrew I bequeath the sum of one
Dollar to my daughter Rhoda I bequeath the sum of one dollar
the rest of my family hath had their part of my estate and I do
hereby utterly revoke and disannul all former wills by me
heretofore in any wise left or made declaring ratifying and
confirming this and no other to be my last will and Testament
In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this

Andrew ANDERSON, is probably my gg grandfather.
I believe that my ANDERSON ancestors removed to Pope County, IL between 1810 and 1820.
By 1830, my Andrew ANDERSON and his brother, William ANDERSON, joined the Black Hawk War
from Pope County, IL. After that event, my Andrew ANDERSON m. Nancy Watson
HEROD in Shelbyville, Shelby Co., IL in 1832. She died in 1878 and he died in 1892.
