Herald-Citizen, Cookeville, TN 12 Jun 2007 Donald Adams COOKEVILLE -- Funeral services for Donald Adams, 75, of Cookeville will be held Wednesday, June 13, at 11 a.m. at Crest Lawn Funeral Home. Burial will be in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery. Family will receive friends Tuesday, June 12, from 4-9 p.m. and Wednesday, June 13, from 9-11 a.m. at the funeral home. Mr. Adams died Sunday, June 10, 2007, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. He was born May 11, 1932, in Hyden, Ky., to the late Walter and Bertha Jones Adams. Mr. Adams was of the Protestant faith and served in the Army as a sergeant in the Korean War. He worked as a security guard at several factories in Cookeville before retiring. He also worked in the coal mines in eastern Kentucky. He was an avid outdoorsman, loving hunting, fishing and ginseng hunting. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. His family includes his wife of 25 years, Clara J. Adams of Cookeville; four daughters and sons-in-law, Bonnie Jean and Ralph Bort of Dayton, Ohio, Eileen and David Baumgardner of Bellbrook, Ohio, Wilma Sue and Terry Phillips of Missouri City, Texas, and Donna Gail and Carl Rambo of Dayton, Ohio; her son and daughter-in-law, Victor Lynn and Rose Adams of Dayton; his stepson, Michael Collier of Lebanon; his sister, Alice Cornette of Pittsburg, Ky.; his brother and sister-in-law, Bill Adams and Evie of Jackson, Ky.; and sister-in-law, Helen Adams of London, Ky.; 14 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son and daughter-in-law, John Wayne and Kelli Adams; his twin brother, Bruce Adams; his granddaughter, Jacquline; twin great-grandsons Jonathan and Julian Adams; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
