Daisy Graham Anderson
widow of Robert Anderson, who was born in 1843 Green
Co., KY an ex-slave who fought in the Civil War.
Robert Anderson was originally named after his owner,
Col. Robert Ball, but later took the name Anderson after
the owner of his father. At the age of 6 his mother was
sold to a Louisiana sugar plantation and he never saw
her again.
At the time of her
death in 1998, Daisy was one of only three widows of
Civil War veterans living.
