Arthur Brookshire's wife was Maud Benton, the daughter of J.B. Benton of High Bridge in Jessamine County; no children but raised: Mrs. Herbert Winburn, Thelma Winkler and Dorothy  Brookshire; also 2 colored children Tom and Aaron Miller.

Frank  Ivory, colored man of Beattyville, convicted of killing James Ross; given life sentence; attempted to break jail, was shot by Crit Gable

19 June 1928

John Jones, Negro, killed near Irvine Depot while unloading railroad ties; no relatives located or not known whre he lived; buried by BF Wilson

9 Jan 1929

Nancy Huguely, 82, colored, wife of Uncle George Huguely, a slave before the Civil War, joined the Union Army; had been married 60 years.

22 April 1930, colored man of Irvine, died of a Jake leg.

31 July 1930

Salyersville, Ky Head of negro found in open field near Coon Creek in Magoffin County, thought to be that of George Keeton, 55, who disappeared 2 weeks ago

20 November 1935

Oscar Marshall, 50, negro, found on railway of Land N at Hargue, he was from Woodstock Alabama.
