Will of Thomas Respass-Will Book G-Page-58
The will was written on Twenty-first day July One Thousand and Twenty. The will of Thomas Respess was proven in the Bourbon County Court October term 1822.

Item: I give unto my said Augustine C. Respess a black man named Absalom he has now in possession.

Item: I give and bequeath to my daughters Susanah Respess now Susanah Saunders, Frances Respess now Frances Hickman, Ann Respass now Ann Lewis and Mary Respass now Mary Haggin the following colored people to wit: Lewis, Abraham, Nelson and Chaney, but it is my will my daughter Mary Respess now Mary Haggin take Chaney at her valuation to serve twenty one years after my death, Molly, Betty and Geny be free at my death but if Molly and Betty cannot support themselves then in that case it is my desire for my children to take them and do the best they can with them.

Item: I give to my son Robt. Respess one negro man named Andrew .
