LLOYD ALLEN "Boogie" HENSON, age 66, of Barbourville, KY. departed this life on Friday, June 8, 2001 at the Knox County Hospital. He was the son of Roy and Mable Stewart Henson, born to them on May 16, 1935 in Knox County., Ky. On May 20, 1968 he united in marriage with Lucy Johnson. Mr. Henson was a laborer and also a musician with the Scalf Chapel Church and believed in the Pentecostal faith. Preceding Mr. Henson in death are his parents, Roy & Mable Henson, two sisters, Ruby Logan and Dorothy Kleinsorg. He is survived by his wife Lucy Johnson Henson; two brothers, Roy Henson Jr. and his wife Ruby of Barbourville, Stanley Henson and his wife Lucille of Harlan, KY. Mr. Henson also leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews and may other relatives and friends to mourn his passing. Funeral services for Mr. Lloyd "Boogie" Henson were conducted in the Hampton Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, June 12, 2001 at 2 p.m. Rev. James Mooneyham and Rev. Charles Lee and Sylvester Dunn officiated. Mr. Henson was laid to rest in the Barbourville Cemetery. Hampton Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. |
