Sally Broughton Obit Sallie Mills Broughton 83 of Turkey Creek Passed away Tuesday Sept 30 2003 in Good Samaritan Select Speciality Unit, Lexington Ky she was the daughter of Nannie and the late John will Mills born to them September 26 1920 at Hammond Ky Mrs Broughton was a well known Knox County Homemaker and member of theTurkey Creek Baptist Church , she united in marriage with Lester Broughton and to this union a loving daughter Beaulah was born. Mrs Broughton was preceeded in death by her father and mother, her husband former Knox County Jailer Lester Broughton, her loving son in law Leslie Mills, a sister Eva Hensley two brothers H T and Amos Mills and two sisters in law Mauda and Martha Mills. MrsBroughton is survived by her loving family her daughter Beaulah Broughton Mills of Turkey Creek her two grandsons Marvin and Larry Mills and wife Kim , all of Turkey Creek, her four great grandchildren Marvin Brandon Mills, and wife Beth, Leslie Blaine Mills Washam, and husband Jeff, Sallie Elizabeth and Whitney Laurel Mills. Her three brothers Arnold, Ralph, and wife Ruth and Carl and all of Gray Ky her three sisters of Roadfork Axie and husband Mark of Cranes Nest and Lizzie and husband Russell of Jarvis , two sisters in law Betty Sue Mills of Corbin ,and Lucy Myrick of Barbourville and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Sallie Mills Broughton were conducted in Hopper Funeral home Chapel on Friday October 3 2003 with the Rev Mike Helton and Rick Partin officiating burial was in Mills Broughton Cemetery Turkey Creek Pallbearers were the nephews of Mrs Broughton Honorary pallbearers were all friends and neighbors of the Broughton family services were in care of Hopper Funeral Home |
