Willie HOPPER WHITE

Mrs. Willie Hopper White, 94, of Barbourville, the widow of Charley White, passed away Saturday morning, February 10, 2007 in the Hospice of Dayton in Dayton, OH. She was a daughter of the late Richard E. and Nellie Cottongim Hopper born on March 24, 1912 at Fount. Mrs. White was a former employee of Knox County Supply and a member of the First Baptist Church of Barbourville. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sons, James and Letch White and two sisters, Nannie and Gracie Jackson. Survivors include her children, Charles E. White and wife, Rita, of Dearborn, MI, Paul White and wife, Marilyn, of Clayton, OH and Joyce Krueger and husband, Mike, of Bellbrook, OH; her brother, Everett Hopper and wife, Thelma, of Eldorado Springs, MO; five grandchildren; several great grandchildren; her beloved nieces and nephews; her special friends, Jane, Helen and Sue Delph, Nancy Hacker, Bruce Martin and Vernon Rowland; among other loved ones and dear friends who mourn her passing. Her funeral service was conducted in the chapel of the Knox Funeral Home Wednesday, February 14 at 11 A.M. with Rev. Shane Nickell officiating. Mrs. White was laid to rest in the Barbourville Cemetery. Casket bearers were Vernon Rowland, Ted Jackson, Bert Scent, Mike McNamee, Mike Krueger and Don Schrodi. Honorary bearers were Charlie McNamee, Nolan McNamee and Tori Schrodi. Expressions of sympathy may go to the First Baptist Church of Barbourville.
