EVERETT JAMES WHITE, 54, of Frankfort formerly of Barbourville, passed away Thursday afternoon, April 18, 2002 at his home. He was a son of Willie Hopper White and the late Charlie White, born on October 25, 1947 at Fount. James retired from state government as the deputy commissioner for the Department for Social Insurance and was also a retired school teacher. He attended the Pineville Presbyterian Church and the First Baptist Church in Barbourville. Survivors include his loving mother, Willie White of Barbourville; one sister and brother-in-law, Joyce Nell and Charles Krueger of Dayton, Ohio; three brothers, Letch White of Jackson, Mich., Paul White and wife Marilyn of Dayton, Ohio and Charles White and wife Rita, of Dearborn, Mich.; one nephew; four nieces; several great nieces and nephews; among other loved ones and dear friends who mourn his passing. Funeral services were conducted in the chapel of Knox Funeral Home Tuesday, April 23, 2002 with the Rev. Shane Nickell, the Rev. William R. Cobb and the Rev. Jim Woodring officiating. Mr. White was laid to rest in the Barbourville Cemetery. Casketbearers were David Hopper, Ted Jackson, Charles Huston Krueger, Charles Robert McName, Michael McName Sr., Mike Rice, Vernon Rowland, Don Schrodi and Paul Michael White. Honorary bearers were Randy Adams, Gene Hicks, Joe Hopper, Walter C. Hopper Jr., Charles Huston McName, Daniel McName, Michael McName Jr., Nolan Patrick McName, Bruce Martin, Evert Rice, Dorsey Short, Frankie Sizemore, Harold Stamper and Carl White. Expressions of sympathy may go to one's church or favorite charity in loving memory of James. Arrangements were under the direction of Knox Funeral Home. |
