Andy Ray West, 72, of Ocala, Fla., went home to be with his Lord on Sunday, Nov. 12, 2006 at his residence. Born in Artemus, Ky., Mr. West moved to Ocala from Largo, Fla. one year ago. He had lived in Largo for 19 years. Prior to that time, he had lived in Alliance for 25 years. He was employed for 30 years, retiring in 1987, as a crane operator for Alliance Machine Corp. Also the past owner of West Homes Construction, he was a custom homes builder for 16 years, retiring in 1987. He was of the Baptist faith and attended Keene Terrace Baptist Church of Largo, Fla. For many years, he was a member of the United Steel Workers Union. He enjoyed woodworking and fishing, and loved those special times with his grandchildren and children. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Louella M. West of Ocala; three children, Debra A. Boyd of Anderson, S.C., Ivan R. West and Luvenia Hoopes-West, both of New Port Richey, Fla.; four grandchildren, Brent Boyd, Justin Harrison, Dakota West and Kassie West; one great grandchild, Adelle Boyd; and three sisters, Ota Wyatt, Jarie Wilburn and Joann Garrett, all of Hamilton, Ohio.
