EDWARD WAGERS Mr. Edward �Ed� Wagers, age 78 of London was born September 6, 1930 in Clay County, KY to the late Sherman and Lucy Stewart Wagers, and departed this life on Thursday, February 12, 2009 at his residence. He was of the Baptist Faith and enjoyed painting cars, doing body work, and spending quality time with his loving family. On October 27, 1950 he was united in marriage to Thelma Wombles and to this union 8 Children were born. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by 3 children: Andy Wagers, Mathew Wagers, and Darrell Wagers; and a brother: Jim T. Wagers. Ed is survived by his loving wife of over 58 years Thelma Wagers; 3 sons: Ed Wagers, Jr. of Corbin, Todd Wagers and wife Patty of Hamilton OH, and Darrell Wagers, Jr. of London.; 5 daughters: Brenda Harding of Hamilton, OH, Linda Wilkerson of Springfield, OH, Louise Couch and husband Cecil of Barbourville, Nancy Hibbard and husband Doyle of London, and Irene Wagers and fianc�� Jerry Hooker of Crab Orchard; 2 brothers: Harlan Wagers and wife Annette of Barbourville, and Jack Wagers of Hamilton, OH; a sister: Daisy Jones and husband Pat of London; 17 grandchildren, several great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other family and many friends to mourn his passing. Funeral services for Mr. Wagers will be conducted Tuesday, February 17, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. in the Beacon Baptist Church with Rev. Dennis Chestnut officiating. Burial will follow in the Merrimac Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers. Friends may call at the Beacon Baptist Church Monday evening from 6 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday after 10 a.m. to the funeral hour at 2.
