VENNA LOU TUGGLE Mrs. Venna Lou Tuggle age 86 of Heidrick, KY departed this life on Wednesday, February 25, 2009 in the Knox Co. Hospital. She was the widow of Earnest Tuggle and the daughter of the late Ancil and Syntha (West) Sowders born to them on May 30th, 1922 in Knox County. Mrs. Tuggle was a member of the Highland Park Baptist Church. She had previously worked at the College Corner Restaurant for 30 years and the Tuggle Grocery for 20 years. You could say Mrs. Tuggle�s last job was being the greeter at the Heidrick post office. She enjoyed talking to people. She loved her family &grandchildren, and enjoyed her church and her Sunday school class. She is preceded in death by her parents Ancil &Syntha Sowders, her husband Earnest, three brothers Bill Sowders, Floyd Sowders, and Earl Sowders , one sister Manerva McVey, and one step-daughter Rita Sue Hammons. Survivors include one son Jack Ketcham and wife Ann of Barbourville, KY., one step-son Randall Tuggle &wife Jip of Heidrick, one brother Bev Sowders &wife Marie of Bimble, KY., one sister in law, Dorothy Sowders of Columbus, Ohio, seven grandchildren Jerry Ketcham, Angie (Ketcham) Mills &husband Bruce, Jeff Ketcham &wife Mindy, Krista Spinks &husband Dennis, Randie Fore &husband Travis, Tony Hammons &wife D.D. , Mark Hammons &wife Michelle, sixteen great grandchildren, Jeremy Ketcham &wife Michelle, Zachary Ketcham, Chase Mills, Clay Mills, Jaxon Ketcham, Jeffrey Ketcham, Matthew Spinks, Chase Spinks, Dalton Fore, Dalson Fore, Donovan Fore, Evan Hammons, Christopher Hammons, Nicholas Hammons, Zachary Hammons, and Eric Hammons. Mrs. Tuggle also leaves behind a host of many other relatives and friends to mourn her passing. Funeral services for Mrs. Tuggle will be in the Hampton Funeral Home Chapel, on Saturday � February 28th, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. with the Rev. James Vandy, Rev. Tommy Frazier and Rev. Jeffrey Branum. Pallbearers will be Wendell Hinkle, Cecil Campbell, James Warren, Mike Deaton, Kevin Hinkle and Brian Bohl. Interment will be in the Barbourville Cemetery. Hampton Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements. |
