Randle Teague, 78, of Barbourville, passed away Monday morning, April 3, 2006 in the V.A. Medical Center, Cooper Drive in Lexington. Arrangements are pending and will be announced later by Knox Funeral Home.

Randle TEAGUE

Randle Teague, 78, of Barbourville, passed away Monday morning, April 3, 2006 in the V.A. Medical Center-Cooper Drive in Lexington. He was a son of the late Albert and Eudoxie King Teague, born on Sept. 19, 1927 in Knox County. Mr. Teague was a retired auto mechanic and a member of the First Baptist Church of Barbourville. He was a former Barbourville Police officer and faithfully served his country in the United States Army during World War II. On June 1, 1947, he united in marriage with Evelyn Bruce in Barbourville and to this union four children were born. After her passing, he united in marriage with Edna Underwood Keeler who also preceded him in death. Other loved ones who preceded him in death include a daughter, Glenda Mae Teague; a brother, Raymond Teague and a sister, Lois Lawson. Survivors include his children, Randlene Teague Hammons and husband Vernon, James Albert Teague and wife Joyce and Rev. Tommy Ray Teague and wife Barbara, all of Barbourville; a brother, Lawrence Teague and wife Ella, of Barbourville; three grandchildren, Gina Renee Teague Witt and husband Robert, Randle Teague and wife Kim and Rebecca Teague Hubbard and husband Barry, all of Barbourville; four great grandchildren, James Robert Lee Witt, Caleb Randle Teague, Elisabeth Raeanne Teague and William Blake Hubbard; among other loved ones and dear friends who mourn his passing. His funeral service was conducted in Knox Funeral Home Chapel Wednesday, April 5 at 2 p.m. with the Rev. David Shelton officiating. Mr. Teague was laid to rest in the Faulkner Cemetery at Swan Lake with military honors by the American Legion. Casketbearers were Randle Teague, Robert Witt, Barry Hubbard, Tony Teague, John Pickard and Weslie King. Honorary bearers were Roy "Junior" Henson and J.W. Bolton. Arrangements were under the direction of Knox Funeral Home.
