Ballard Lee Tackett, 70, Tackett Creek Road, Williamsburg, passed away Thursday evening, July 24, 2003 at his home. He was a member of the Teamsters Union Local 791. Survivors include his wife, Lucy Tackett of Tackett Creek Road, Williamsburg; five daughters, Linda Tackett of Rochester, New York, Nancy Green of Rochester, New York, Lora Rebis of Williamsburg, Patricia Peace and husband, David of Williamsburg, and Sara Lee Campbell Hurst of Hamilton, Georgia; one son, Ballard Tackett Jr. of Rochester, New York; 11 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; one brother, Robert Gibson and wife, Shirley of Cananadaigua, New York; one sister, Mary Caddell and husband, Berry of Williamsburg; also several nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing. Funeral services were held Sunday, July 27 at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Billy Carpenter officiating. Croley Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. |
