OBITUARIES - Hamilton News Journal - Hamilton, Ohio - - Friday, February 2, 2007 Obituaries for: Alma Jean SPEARS Alma Jean SPEARS Alma Jean SPEARS, age 81 of Hamilton passed away at Cedarview Health Care, Lebanon, on Monday, February 5, 2007 at 8:40 AM. She was born in Wilton, Kentucky on November 24, 1925 the daughter of E.C. and Ethel (Owens) Burnett. Alma was a member of the Tylersville Road Church of God, where she served on the ladies auxiliary and a Sunday School teacher. On November 7, 1947 in Dayton she married James Spears, who preceded her in death in 1988. She is survived by one daughter, Ruby (Larry) Setser of Seven Mile; three sons, Dellas (Georgia) Spears of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, John (Charlotte) Spears of London, Kentucky, and Edsel (Lisa) Spears of Jacksonburg; two brothers, E.C. (Gwin) Burnett Jr. of London, Kentucky and Roy Wayne (Norma) Burnett of Bloomington, Indiana; two sisters, Helen Sizemore and Faye (Robert) Thieneman, both of Louisville, Kentucky; eleven grandchildren, Cari (Gary) Gerber, Tara Setser, Beth and David Spears, Leah (James) Siebert, John, Ryan, Ashley, Jessica, Jacob, and Jarred Spears; and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, William D. Burnett; and two sisters, Kathleen Coffey and Wanda Wilkerson. Funeral Service will be held at Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Saturday, February 10, 2007 at 12:00 noon with Pastor Steve Weatherly of Jacksonburg United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be held Saturday from 10:00 AM to 12:00 noon at the funeral home. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Vitas Hospice for all their care and support and also request that In lieu of flowers donations be made to Vitas Hospice. . |
