Roger Dale Smith

Roger Dale Smith, 60, of Michigan, formerly of Knox County, passed away, Tuesday, Feb. 1, 2005 in Clarkson Speciality Care Unit in Pontiac, Mich. He was a son of the late Ethel and Ernest Smith. His wife, Riat Boon Smith, preceded him in death.

He is survived by two stepdaughters no names given; a stepsonno name given; five sisters, Evelyn Meade, Sue Martin and husband Mack, Brenda Tuggle, Tina Chaffin and husband Jimmy and Debbie Russ and husband David.

Services were conducted at Uhts Funeral Home in Westland, Mich. on Saturday, Feb. 5.

Roger Dale Smith

Roger Dale Smith, 60, of Michigan, formerly of Knox County, passed away, Tuesday, Feb. 1, 2005 in Clarkson Speciality Care Unit in Pontiac, Mich. He was a son of the late Ethel and Ernest Smith. His wife, Riat Boon Smith, preceded him in death.

He is survived by two stepdaughters no names given; a stepsonno nunty and Oak Ridge, Tenn, passed away Friday, Feb. 4, 2005 in Baptist Regional Medical Center. He was a son of the late Oscar and Rebecca Leger Foley. He was retired from Union Carbide and a member of Swan Pond Baptist Church.

He is survived by three sons, Ray Foley and wife Jewel, Richard Foley and wife Janice and James Foley and wife Sunny; one sister, Mary Foley Keck; eight grandchildren; six great grandchildren.

Services were conducted in Knox Funeral Home Chapel Monday, Feb. 7 with the Rev. Dennis Kirk officiating. Following the funeral, a Masonic service was conducted. Burial was in Barbourville Cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction of Knox Funeral Home.
