Joann Petrey Corbin October 20, 2003 Joann Petrey, 66, of Corbin, passed away Monday, Oct. 20, 2003, at Rockcastle Co. Hospital in Mount Vernon. She was the daughter of John and Augusta Ray Eagle. Born Oct. 8, 1937, in Knox County, she was of the Baptist faith and housewife and a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Augusta Ray Eagle and nine brothers and sisters. She is survived by her husband Marshall Petrey of Corbin; two sons, Gary Scott of Louisville and Marshall Petrey Jr. and wife Eileen of Corbin; one daughter, Tammy Eaton and husband Johnny of Corbin; one brother, Bill Eagle of Florida; nine grandchildren; one great-grandchildren; and a host of family and friends to mourn her passing. The pallbearers will be Thomas Myers, James Myers, Jimmy Partin, David Partin, Bruce Fox, Dewayne Ferguson, Benny Lewis, Paul Ray Jackson Jr. The funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. in the Corbin Funeral Home chapel. Burial will be in the Oak Cemetery in Whitley County. The family will receive friends after 6 p.m. today Wednesday at the funeral home. The Corbin Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements, Byron L. Schiesz, director. Notice entered Wednesday, October 22, 2003. |
