Elden R. PARTIN Mr. Elden R. Partin, 78, of Taylor, MI, formerly of Eastridge Branch, passed away Thursday afternoon, June 7, 2007 in the Oakwood Heritage Hospital in Taylor, MI. He was a son of the late Fred J. and Myrtie Hamblin Partin born on April 13, 1929 in Knox County. Mr. Partin was a retired Chrysler Corporation employee. He was of the Baptist faith and previously attended the Little Poplar Creek Baptist Church. Mr. Partin enjoyed bluegrass music and tinkering with cars. In March 1948, he united in marriage with Mae Edith West in Knox County. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Edward Partin, and a sister, Winnie Hickle. Survivors include his wife, Mae Partin of Taylor, MI; four children, Dennis Partin and wife, Stella, of Woodhaven, MI, Kennard Partin, Charles Partin and wife, Linda, and James Partin all of Taylor, MI; a brother, Earl Partin and wife, Ruby, of Bonita Springs, FL; two grandchildren, Charles Partin Jr. and Laura Partin; among other loved ones and dear friends who mourn his passing. A graveside service was conducted in the Mays Cemetery at Eastridge Branch Tuesday, June 12 at 2 P.M. with Rev. John Partin officiating. Casket bearers were family and friends. Local arrangements are under the direction of the Knox Funeral Home. |
