Ray Mullis, 83, Lucy Lay Hollow, Williamsburg, passed away Tuesday, August 6, 2002 at the Beechtree Manor Nursing Home in Jellico, Tennessee. Survivors include four daughters, Deloris Faye White and husband, Joe of Williamsburg, Mildred R. Rainwater and husband, Frank of Williamsburg, Claudia White and husband, John of Dalton, Georgia, and Gladys White and husband, Jimmy of Williamsburg; four sons, William Ray Mullis, Jr. and wife, Minnie Sue of Williamsburg, Earl E. Mullis and wife, Staci of Saxton, Garrett J. Mullis and wife, Virgie of Pikeville, and Arvle Mullis and wife, Ebie of Ravenna, Ohio; 39 grandchildren, 67 great-grandchildren, and 12 great-great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Cora Mullis of Gatliff; as well as a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lola Croley Mullis; a son, Charles Mullis; and three daughters, Novina Mullis, Martha Mullis, and Gracie Mullis. Funeral services were held Friday, August 9 at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Manuel Meadors and Rev. Clay Canada officiating. Burial was in the Pleasant View Cemetery, Moses Addition. Croley Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. |
