Verna Mays, 88, of Mechanicsville, MD., formerly of Williamsburg, passed away Thursday, March 9, 2006 in St. Mary�s Hospital in Leonardtown, MD. She was a daughter of the late Amos Preston Bennett and Mary Bennett Bennett and the widow of Luther Mays. She was a retired school teacher. She is survived by one son; Daniel Mays and wife Carmen, one sister; Geraldine Corey; five grandchildren; two great grandchildren. Services were conducted Saturday Evening at Hampton Funeral Home with the Rev. Phillip Majors officiating. Burial was Sunday morning at the Barbourville Cemetery. Hampton Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. |
