Axie MARTIN Axie Martin, 73, of Gray, passed away Friday evening, March 24, 2006 at her home. She was a daughter of the late Hugh Bob Bingham and Eliza Bingham Baker and the widow of George Nathaniel Martin. She was a member of Dewitt Baptist Church and a homemaker. She is survived by four sons, Jesse Ray Martin, George Martin Jr., Johnny Hamilton Martin and Gary Wayne Martin; two daughters, Clara Belle Egner and Sara Lee Rose; four brothers, Powell Bingham and wife Lizzie, Herbert Bingham and wife Lela and Vince Bingham and wife Mollie and Lee Bingham; four sisters, Annie Mills and husband Victor, Imogene Mills, Eva Mills and Gracie Brooks; nine grandchildren. Services were conducted Monday, March 27 in Hampton Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Tip Smith, Earl Hammons and Owen Smith officiating. Burial was in Bingham Cemetery at Scalf. Hampton Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. |
