Leona MAHAN LAKE Leona Mahan Lake, 86, of Goldens Creek, passed away at her residence Tuesday, Feb. 28, 2006. She was a daughter of the late S.S. Mahan and Sally Brown Mahan and the wife of the late Reed Lake. She was a member of Locust Grove Baptist Church and a retired head cook in the Whitley County School System. She is survived by two sons, Denver Lake and wife Wanda, Wilburn Lake and wife Carolyn; six grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; one sister, Lavada Wilson; one daughter-in-law, Lodean Lake. Services were conducted at Locust Grove Baptist Church on Goldens Creek Friday, March 3 with the Revs. George Peace and Larry Carter officiating. Burial was in Wilson Cemetery, Goldens Creek. Hopper Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. |
