Virginia Fern KIDD Mrs. Virginia Fern Kidd, of Sun City, Ariz., formerly of Barbourville, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 24, 2006 in the Boswell Hospital. She was the daughter of the late Dut and Maude Corey Jones born on March 28, 1933 in Barbourville. Mrs. Kidd was a homemaker and with her husband, Ernest Eugene Kidd, owned and operated the former Charcoal House Restaurant in Barbourville. After moving from Barbourville to Kansas City, Kan, she was an associate with Duvall�s, a ladies clothing store. Eventually, she and her husband retired to Sun City, Ariz. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Sue Allen; four brothers and one sister. Survivors include her husband of 57 years, Ernest Eugene Kidd of Sun City, Ariz.; her children, Sandra Ann Douglas and husband Steve of Lenexa, Kans. and Billy Kidd of Sun City, Ariz.; a brother, Bill Jones of Harrison Township, Mich.; five grandchildren; six great grandchildren; among other loved ones and dear friends who mourn her passing. Two memorial services will be held to celebrate her life. The first service will be at the Antioch Family Worship Center in Overland Park, Kan., Saturday Feb. 4 at 11 a.m. The second service will be at her home at 9405 Hidden Valley Circle N. in Sun City, Ariz., Sunday Feb. 12 at 2 p.m. Expressions of sympathy may go to the Phoenix First Assembly of God, Dream Center, 13613 N.
