Mr. Frank JACKSON Mr. Frank Jackson, age 75, of Flat Lick, Ky. passed away Wednesday-June 7, 2006 at his home. He was the husband of Mabel Ortega Jackson. They were united in marriage June 6, 1953. He was also the son of Robert M. Jackson and Mattie Gray Jackson, born to them December 17, 1930 in Knox County, Ky. He was a deputy Sheriff in Knox County for eight years and a member of the Concorde Baptist Church. Mr. Jackson was a Veteran of the United States Army. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert M. Jackson and Mattie Gray Jackson, one infant brother Sylvester Jackson and one brother-in-law Archie Smith. Survivors Include: His wife: Mabel Ortega Jackson of Flat Lick, Ky.; Two daughters: Clara Cates and husband Joe of Batavia, Ohio and Fatima Jackson of Flat Lick, Ky.; Two sons: Robert Walter Jackson and wife Nicia of Flat Lick, Ky. and Lee Jackson of Flat Lick, Ky. One sister: Dorothy Smith of Waynesburg, Ky.; Thirteen grandchildren: Robert Frank Jackson of Amelia, Ohio, Maria Swafford of Cannon, Ky., Mattie Yvette Engle of Gray, Ky., Medina Jackson of Flat Lick, Ky., Kevon Jackson of Flat Lick, Ky., Guillermo Jackson of Flat Lick, Ky, Enrica Jackson of Flat Lick, Ky., Callie Jo Cates, Lance Cates, Joey Cates, all of Batavia, Ohio, Sabrina Harris of Missouri, Summer May, Batavia, Ohio, and David Hinkle of Barbourville, Ky. Seven great-children: Jacob Allen Engle of Gray, Ky., Mia Jade Swafford of Cannon, Ky, Michael Reid Swafford II of Cannon, Ky., Gracie Elizabeth Jackson of Amelia, Ohio, Justin Keller of Amelia, Ohio, Hunter Harris and Caleb Harris of Missouri, Brayden May of Batavia, Ohio. Mr. Jackson also leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends to mourn his passing Funeral services for Mr. Frank Jackson were conducted on Saturday-June 10, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. in the Hampton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Paul Frederick and Bro. Ted Mason officiating. Pallbearers were Lee Jackson, Robert W. Jackson, Robert F. Jackson, Joey Cates, Michael Swafford, Jason Engle, Ancil Hall and Gary Smith. Honorary Pallbearers were Dr. Talmadge Hayes, Ben Mason, Jack Brown, and Professional Home Health Nurses and staff. Burial followed in the Farley Cemetery at Himyar, Ky. Hampton Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. |
