Hazel Jackson Hobbs, 83, of Corbin and formerly of Bell County, passed away Friday, Sept. 5, 2003 at the Corbin Nursing Home. She was born in Knox County Nov. 15, 1919, daughter of the late Allen Smith and Lula Mills Smith Gambrel. She had been a nurse's aid at Pineville Community Hospital for many years. Survivors include her children, Geneva J. Siler, Earl Jackson, David Jackson and Etta L. Brock; and a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren; as well as sisters, Myrtel Garland, Molly Smith, Linda Wagers, Goldie Brock and Etta Jackson. Graveside services will be at 10:30 a.m. today Monday at the Pineville Memorial Cemetery with Rev. Bill Poore. Arrangements are by the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home of Pineville.
