Charlie HILL Mr. Charlie Hill age 72 of Barbourville, the husband of Ruth Ann Hill departed this life on Saturday-June 24, 2006 in the St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington. He was the son of Charles Hill and Thelma Glover Hill born to them February 18, 1934 in Somerset, Ky. He was a deacon and a member of the First Baptist Church of Barbourville for more than 40 years. Mr. Hill was a self-employed businessman. His parents precede him in death. Survivors Include: His wife: Ruth Ann Hill of Barbourville, Ky. Two Sons: Chuck Hill and wife Delone of Barbourville, Ky. and Robert Allen Phelps of Shreveport, Louisiana One Daughter: Allison Phelps of Lexington, Ky. Three Grandchildren: Sarah Hill, Robbie Hill and Seth Hill One Brother: James E. Hill and wife Jayne of Cincinnati, Ohio Mr. Hill also leaves behind a host of many other relatives and friends to mourn his passing. Funeral services for Mr. Charlie Hill will be conducted on Wednesday morning at 10:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church on North Main St. Barbourville with Rev. Shane Nickel officiating. Pallbearers will be: Robert Allen Phelps, Phillip James Stith, Vincil Phipps, Wendell Hinkle, Jerry Carey, Gary Beasley, Harold Carey and Fred Bays. Honorary Pallbearers will be all members of the First Baptist Church. Burial will be in the Barbourville Cemetery with the Hampton Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers donations should be made to the First Baptist Church Building Fund. Visitation will be at the Hampton Funeral Home on Tuesday evening from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m. and at the First Baptist Church on Wednesday morning from 9:00 a.m. until the service at 10:00 a.m. To the Hill family, the staff of the Hampton Funeral Home would like to offer you our heartfelt sympathy during your time of bereavement. |
