EDNA HEMBREE Mrs. Edna Hembree age 81 of Bell County, formerly of Knox County was born February 24, 1927 in Knox County, KY to the late Ben and Nora Elizabeth Shorter and departed this life Thursday, February 19, 2009 in the Middlesboro ARH Medical Center. She was the widow of Victor C. �Vic� Hembree. She was of the faith and belonged to the Boone Heights Pentecostal Church. She enjoyed Quilting and watching Braves Baseball. She was united in Marriage on May 24, 1948 to Victor Hembree and to this union 2 children were born. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Vic Hembree; a son: Ricky Hembree; 2 sisters: Mae Mills and Mable Shorter; and a brother: Paul Shorter. Mrs. Hembree is survived by her daughter: Penny Lecroy of Boone Heights; 4 grandchildren: Jason Lecroy, Suzanne Bargo, Steven Hembree, and Jamie Hembree: 11 great grandchildren, Nieces, Nephews, other relatives and many friends. Funeral Services for Mrs. Edna Hembree will be conducted Wednesday, February 25th, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Barbourville Affordable Funerals. Burial will follow in the Hembree Cemetery at Heidrick with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
