Margie Elizabeth Hamby, 84, Williamsburg, passed away Saturday, October 11, 2003 at the Baptist Regional Medical Center, Corbin. She was a member of the Hanging Rock Baptist Church. Survivors include three daughters, Shirley Lawson of Walton, Ruth Davis of Williamsburg and Faye Bays of Williamsburg; four sons, Morris Hamby of Cincinnati, Ohio, James Hamby of Cincinnati, Ohio, Raymond Hamby of Cincinnati, Ohio and Wayne Hamby of Williamsburg; 24 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jim and Oddie Cheeks; a son, Eugene Hamby; and a daughter, Martha Jane Hamby. Funeral services were held Tuesday, October 14 at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Lowell Huddleston and Rev. Tom Matney officiating. Burial was in the Freeman Cemetery in the Hanging Rock Community. Croley Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. |
