| BRENDA JOYCE GREGORY, 52, of Barbourville, died Monday, June 26, 2000 in the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington. She was the daughter of the late Josephine York Gregory and Albert LaFayette "Coach" Gregory, born to them on August 26, 1947 in Knox County. She was a maintenance worker for the Knox County Hospital. Survivors include two sons, Exavier Gregory and wife Letitia of Barbourville and Brendan Gregory of Richmond; two grandchildren; her sisters, Shirley White and husband Todd of Louisville and Benetta Ann Hopkins of Barbourville; her brothers, James D. Gregory of Charlotte, North Carolina, Isaac Stanley Gregory of LaGrange, Albert Gregory Jr. of Barbourville and Myron D. Gregory and wife Wanda of Owensboro; her uncles; and several other nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends to mourn her passing. Funeral services were conducted in the Hopper Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, June 30 at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Thomas A. Simmons, the Rev. Price Mitchell, the Rev. Charles Tinsley and the Rev. John Clark officiating. Burial followed in the Rosenwald Cemetery. For those who wish, memorial contributions may be made to the Wayman Chapel A.M.E. Church, the National Kidney Foundation and the American Diabetes Association in loving memory of Brenda Joyce Gregory. Hopper Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. |
