| BENTON GATLIFF, 75, of Paducah, formerly of Knox County, passed away Thursday, March 4, 1999 in the Baptist Regional Medical Center in Corbin. He was the son of the late John and Nora Hill Gatliff born on February 29, 1924 at Mackey Bend. He was a retired principal from the Tilghman Area Vocational School. He was a member of the Retired Teachers Association, a Kentucky Colonel. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. Survivors include his wife, June Miller Gatliff of Paducah. Funeral services were conducted at the Milner & Orr Funeral Home in Paducah Sunday, March 7 at 1:30 p.m. with the Rev. Jamie Broome officiating. Burial followed in the Woodland Memorial Gardens.
