Marvin Lewis FLOYD Marvin Lewis Floyd, 79, of Artemus, passed away Sunday morning, April 16, 2006 at his home. He was a son of the late Oscar and Nina Miller Floyd. He was a retired Dayton, Ohio police office and a member of Flat Creek Baptist Church. He was a World War II Navy veteran. He is survived by his wife, Marie Parrott Floyd; two children, Dolly West and husband Gerald and Jim Floyd and wife Dora; two sisters, Shirley Lawson and Pansy Girdner; one brother, Earnest Dale Floyd and wife Rose Mary; four grandchildren; and five great grandchildren. Services were conducted in Knox Funeral Home Chapel Wednesday, April 19 with the Rev. B.F. Jackson officiating. Burial was in Barbourville Cemetery with military honors given by the American Legion. Arrangements were under the direction of Knox Funeral Home. |
