Marshall L. Fields Sr. Marshall L. "Dee" Fields Sr. age 65, of Bimble, was born on August 26, 1942 in Knox County, Kentucky. He was a son of the late Carter A. Fields and Fannie Edna Powell Fields. Mr. Fields died Sunday January 27, 2008 in the Knox County Hospital. He was a member of the Beech Springs Baptist Church. Mr.Fields was a construction worker and heavy equipment operator. On August 28, 1965 he united in marriage to Geraldine "Gerri" McVey. He is survived by his wife, Geraldine "Gerri" Fields of Bimble; His Children; Marshall L. Fields Jr. and wife, Gwen of Flat Lick; Mark Fields and Nichole of London; James Carter Fields and Kim of Barbourville; Michelle Mills and husband, Harrison of Flat Lick; His fifteen grandchildren; His Sister; Venus Fields of Girdler; His Brothers; Rev. Joseph Samuel Fields and wife, Stacy of Girdler; Delmer Fields and wife, Linda of Miller Branch, Knox County, Kentucky; Rev. E.C. Fields and wife, Charlotte of Hinkle; Herbert Ray Fields and wife, Judy of Callebs Creek and Johnny Fields and wife, Molly of Hamilton, Ohio; many dear nieces and nephews, friends and neighbors. Mr. Fields was preceded in death by; a Granddaughter; Terry Katherine Senters; a Sister; Louetta Fields; and four Brothers; Lester Earl Fields, Walter Fields, Jay Russell Fields and Carter Fields Jr. Funeral Services for Marshall L. "Dee" Fields Sr. will be conducted in the Hopper Funeral Home Chapel, Wednesday, January 30th 2008 at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Danny Hembree and Rev. Tip Smith officiating. Interment will follow in the Carnes Cemetery at Baughman with Randall McVey, Randy McVey, James Robert McVey, Scott Fields, Russell Fields, Joey Fields, Jeff Patterson Chris Patterson and Chuck Fields. Honorary Pallbearers will be: All Members of the Beech Springs Baptist Church and all friends and neighbors. The Fields Family will receive friends at the Hopper Funeral Home tuesday evening from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m. and after 10:00 a.m. Wednesday until the hour of service at 1:00 p.m. Arrangements are under the direction of Hopper Funeral Home. |
