Hope David Evans Corbin October 7, 2003 Hope David Evans, 80, of 527 Oak Lawn Circle in Corbin, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, Oct. 7, 2003. She passed away at Baptist Regional Medical Center in Corbin. She was born on Oct. 6, 1923 in Harlan County. She was a lifelong homemaker and long-time member of Poplar Grove Baptist Church. Her husband, Eddie C. Evans; her parents, Luther and Nera David; two brothers; and four sisters preceded her in death. She is survived by five children, Eddie M. Evans and wife Judy of Corbin, David Evans and wife Mary of Corbin, Linda Trosper and husband Carl of Galion, Ohio, Trula Martin and husband Ted of Corbin, Marsha Broughton and husband Paul of Tampa, Fla.; 10 grandchildren, David Broughton, Terry Evans, Candy Martin Jones, Allen Trosper, Robin Broughton Fletcher, Crystal Trosper Schneider, Duane Evans, Nerissa Evans Mayes, Anita Hedrick and Paul Martin; seven great-grandchildren, Ashleigh Fletcher, Martin Jones, Matthew Mayes, Jacob Evans, Justin Schneider, Danielle Schneider and Hannah Evans; one brother, Morrell David of Harlan; a special niece, Glenna Laws; and a host of family and friends. The funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Corbin Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Bobby Joe Eaton and Rev. Janus Jones officiating. Burial will be in the Pine Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends after 6 p.m. today Friday at the Corbin Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be David Broughton, Terry Evans, Allen Trosper, Duane Evans, Chris Jones, Ted Martin, Robert Judd and Paul Martin. Honorary pallbearers will be neighbors of Oaklawn Circle and members of Poplar Grove Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Poplar Grove Baptist Church building fund. The Corbin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements, Byron L. Schiesz, director.
