LIST OF KNOTT DEATHS KILLED IN ACTION
The state of Kentucky contained 2.12 per cent of the
population of the United States and possessions (Excluding the
Philippine Island) in 1940 and contributed 1.96 per cent of the
total number who entered the Army. Of these men and women of Ky, who
went to war 3.47 per cent failed to return. This figure represents
2.21 per cent of the Army's total dead and missing. This list of
the Army dead, does not include men that served in the Navy and
Marine Corps. |
