LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT

of

SIMON STACY

          To / Will. His Heirs.

    April the 13th day, 1822.  I Simon Stacy of Perry County and State of Kentucky being very low in body health but in perfect state of mind, do make my last will and testament which is as followeth:

     My soul to Almighty God and my body to the ground to be buried in common desent order; and all my estate both personal and real for to be equally divided between Elizabeth my beloved wife, and all my children when the youngest one come of age and for my wife and children that is under age for to enjoy every cents worth of my property until my children is raised, that is if my wife Elizabeth remains my widow and if she marry, in that case she is not for to have the power for to destroy or enjoy any of my property until the youngest child comes of age, then for to have her equal share with the children.  This being my last will and testament I have set my hand and seal in the presence of these living witnesses:

       I,  Jesse Combs, Clerk and for the County aforesaid do hereby certify that this the last will and testament of Simon Stacy deceased was produced to me in open court on the 14th day of October 1822 and was verified by the oaths of the subscribing witnesses to be the hand and seal of the sd Simon Stacy for the purpose herein contained, which was ordered to be recorded.

Given under my hand as Clerk to the Court aforesaid.
