Will Book 1 Page 190 Know all men by these presents that I, Alice Seals, of Mallie Post Office, Knott County, Kentucky, make this my last will and Testament here on earth. 1st: I will and bequeath unto my grand daughter Frances Marie Seals, daughter of Frank Seals, (my son) one ($1.00) Dollar. 2nd: I bequeath unto my sons and daughters, Delzy Seals, Clay Seals, Elbert Seals, and my daughters Pollyann Seals, all my money, notes, and belongings to be equally divided between the four heirs, assigned the following: 1. Note Jasper Pigman of $25.00 1. Note ?. ?. Amburgey of $100.00 1. Note Willie Martin of $100.00 1. Note Brownlow Pigman of $20.00 1. Note Mary Martin of $40.00 1. Note Millard Seals of $10.00 All of which is to be equally divided between my four heirs, Delzy Seals, Clay Seals, Elbert Seals and Pollyann Seals. This February 9, 1929 Alice (her x mark) Seals Signed and sealed in the presence of witnesses: W.B. Smith, James Seals, Nannie Seals, Delzy Seals In the matter of the Probate of the Will of Alice Seals An instrument of writing purporting to be the last will and testament of Alice Seals, deceased was this day produced in court by W.B. Smith and Delzy Seals and offered for probate. It appearing to the satisfaction of the court from the evidence of W.B. Smith and Delzy Seals an the written evidence of letters set forth in the hand writing of the deceased, Alice Seals departed this life on ?? day of 1929 domiciled at the time of her death in Knott County Ky. leaving said instrument of writing as her last will and testament. The witnesses W.B. Smith and Delzy Seals, after being duly sworn stated that they were well acquainted with the hand writing of Alice Seals, that they had seen her write and had received letters from her at various and different times and that the said instrument of writing Will Book 1 Page 191 purporting to be the last will and testament of Alice Seals, and that it is her last will and testament. Wherefore it is ordered by the court that the said instrument of writing is and the same is ordered and adjudged to be the last will and testament of the deceased, Alice Seals, and the same is hereby admitted to probate as the last will and testament of the deceased, Alice Seals. E.M. Moore, Judge State of Kentucky Knott County I, John Sturgill, Clerk of the Knott County Courts, do certify that the Will of Alice Seals was on the 10th day of April filed for probate in my office and for record, and that I have duly recorded the said will and order of Probate, together with this certificate in my said office.
