LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT

In the name of God Amen. I Green Cornett of Smithsboro, Knott County, Kentucky being of sound mind and memory do make this my last will and Testament, hereby revoking all former wills heretofore made.
Firstly: I hereby will and bequeath to William Cornett, Joe Cornett, James Cornett, Malissa Maddin, Johnnie Cornett, Isom Cornett the farm on the head of Big Branch and known as my (?old?) home farm containing 175 acres more or less to be ??? in (?fee?) at my death, they being children of my first wife Sarah Cornett deceased.
Secondly: I will and bequeath to my son Sidney Cornett the sum of one dollar, as I have already provided for my said son Sidney Cornett as his part of my real estate which is situated on Perkins branch for which I have conveyed to him by deed.
Thirdly: I will and bequeath to Orca Cornett, Wilson Cornett, Ray Cornett and Roy Cornett all my personal property of any ??? which I may have at my death. Also one lot at Yellow Creek in Perry County Kentucky which I purchased from Robert Kelly record in Perry County Court Clerks office the above being my heirs by Lucinda Cornett.
I hereby request R.H. Amburgey and John Sturgill to witness this my last will and Testament. This August 22 1923

In the matter of the Probate
of the Last will and Testament of
Green Cornett, deceased
It appearing to the satisfaction of the court from the evidence of R.H. Amburgey and John Sturgill that the deceased Green Cornett departed this life in year 1927 domiciled in Knott County Kentucky leaving as his last will and testament the above and forgoing instrument of writing which was this day filed in this court and offered for probate.
Whereupon came R.H. Amburgey and John Sturgill two subscribing witnesses thereto and after being sworn stated that the instrument of writing was and is the last will and Testament of the deceased Green Cornett and that the said Green Cornett signed, acknowledged and declared the said instrument of writing as his last will and Testament in the presence of the said subscribing witnesses R.H. Amburgey and John Sturgill and

that they the said subscribing witnesses signed and attested said instrument of writing as witnesses at the request of the said Green Cornett and that he signed said writing in their presence and that they signed same in his presence and in the presence of each other.
Now therefore it is ordered that said instrument of writing is and the same is now adjudged to be the last will and testament of the said Green Cornett and the same is hereby admitted to probate as such and ordered to be recorded and admitted to record as the last will and Testament of the said Green Cornett.

I John Sturgill Clerk of the County Court do certify that on this day the forgoing Will of Green Cornett was filed for probate and record, and that I have duly recorded the same together with the order of probate in my off in Will Book No. 1 page 181.
