LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT
of
AMEY BALDRIDGE
April 9th 1894 - Will Amey Baldridge of the Testatrix in the County of Knott and State of Kentucky of the age of 56 years and being of sound mind and disposing mind and memory do make and publish and declare my last will and testament. In manner following The foregoing Instrument was at the date thereof signed and sealed published and declared by the said testatrix Amey Baldridge her last will and testament in the presents of us who at her request in her presence and in the presence of each other have subscribe our names as witness thereto. Collins (late Emmazella Baldridge) and wife of Elza Collins and
presented in open court and offered for probate a paper proposing to
be the last will and testament of Amey Baldridge, deceased. Which is
in words and figures as follows. Amey Baldridge of the Testatrix in
the County of Knott and State of Kentucky of the age of fifty-six
(56) years and being of sound mind and disposing mind and memory do
make and publish and declare my last will and testament in manner
following: I give all my interest in real estate to my two daughters
Susanah Baldridge and Emazella Baldridge. In witness I hereto set my
hand and seal. The foregoing instrument was at the date of thereof signed and seal published & declared by the said testatrix Amey Baldridge her last will and testament in the presents of us who at her request in her presence and in and in the presence of each other have subscribed our names as witness thereto. Witness Wm Wicker Thereupon came the said William Wicker and Esaw Davis the attesting witnesses to said instrument of writing who after being duly sworn testified in open court that they and each of them saw the said Amey Baldridge sign said will by making her mark to the same after said will had been written in her presence at her request and dictation and that they in the presence of said Amey Baldridge attested said writing as her last will and testament at her request. She at the time appeared to be in sound mind and of disposing memory and that the same was executed about three weeks before the death of said testatrix and that there is no other will made or published by the said Amey Baldridge known to them. It is therefore considered and adjudged by the Court that said instrument of writing be and the same is hereby admitted to probate as a will of real estate and as the last will and (Book 1 Page 11) testament of the said Amey Baldridge and the same is ordered to be spread at length upon the records of the Knott County Court and to be so certified. State of Kentucky I, R. H. Amburgey, Clerk of the Knott County Court, certify that the foregoing will from Amey Baldridge to Susanah Baldridge as with the order of the Probate thereto was this day lodged for record whereupon the same and this my certificate both were duly recorded in my office.
