    FREEMAN SALYER, an 84 year-old resident of Red Bush, died in a Veteran’s Hospital in Lexington, on Saturday, October 26, following an extended illness.

    A retired farmer he was born February 27, 1890, the son of the late John and Alifair Lyons Salyer. Mr. Salyer was a veteran of World War I and a member of the Enterprise Baptist Church he was preceded in death by two sons. s

    Surviving are his wife Pearlie Rowland Salyer, whom he married on July 12, 1919; four daughters, Dorothy Sayler of Cincinnati, Christine Oslerfield of Miami Beach, Opal Williams of Meally and Lois Pennington of Red Bush and ten grandchildren.

    Funeral services for Mr. Salyer, was held Tuesday, October 29, in the Red Bush Enterprise Baptist Church with Reverends J. T. Bailey, Lafe Skaggs and Ellis Hamilton officiating. Burial was in Salyer cemetery at Red Bush with the arrangement under the direction of the Paintsville Funeral Home.
