David Bickford 

David G. Bickford, 55, of Auxier died Monday, August 9, after a brief illness. A retired coal miner, Mr. Bickford was a member of the DAV Chapter 18, and a member of the East Point Lodge.

He was born in Johnson County, April 17, 1921, the son of the late Ora and Lorenda Amberge Bickford. Survivors include his wife, Beatrice Collins Bickford, two daughters, Susan Lynne at home, and Jane Herald, of Hager Hill, a grandaughter, Jenifer Lynne Herald; one sister, Olive Welch, of Sciotoville, Ohio; and a brother, George Bickford of Rockhouse.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, August 11, in the chapel of the Jones-Preston Funeral Home with Reverends Cecial Sherman and Graham Abbott officiating. Interment was in the Collins Cemetery at Auxier, with arrangements under the direction of the Jones-Preston Funeral Home.
