            Will of Elias Blanton

            I Elias Blanton of the County of Johnson and State of Kentucky, do hereby make publish and declare this my last will last Will and testament and being of sound mind and disposing memory.  I first will myself to God:

            Second:  I direct for my funeral expenses and all my just debts and liabilities to be paid.

            Third:  I give devise and bequeath to my wife Manerva Blanton all my land and real estate and all my personal property, and all my household goods and provisions which I shall own at the time of my decease for to have and to hold the same to her sole and separate use during her natural life:

            In witness whereof I have hereunto subscribed my name, this the 24 day of October 1918.

Signed and delivered by testor, Elias Blanton for his last will and testament in the presence of us who at his request and in his presence and in the presence of each other have hereto subscribed our names as witnesses.

            I, Frank Chandler, Clerk of the Johnson County Court, certify that the foregoing instrument of writing purporting to be the last Will and testament of Elias Blanton, deceased, was on the 2nd day of December, 1918 filed in open Court and the execution thereof proven by the oath of S.L. Blanton, one of the attesting witnesses thereto who also proved the attestation of Manasseh Stapleton the other subscribing witness thereto whereupon the same was established by the Court to be the last Will and testament of said Elias Blanton and whereupon it was ordered by the Court that said Will be probated filed and recorded as the true and last Will of Elias Blanton, in the Clerk's Office, and it together with this certificate has been recorded.

            Given under my hand this 3rd day of Dec. 1918.
