Rebecca Litteral Age 89 is Dead

Mrs. Rebecca Litteral of Oil Springs died Jan 11 after 3 years illness of cancer

                Rebecca Jane Litteral, age 89 years, of Oil Springs, Ky died at her home on Tuesday January 11. He had suffered from cancer for the last three years.

                Mrs. Litteral was married in August 1855 to Wiley Litteral who preceded her to the grave 11 years ago. To this union were born twelve children. Those still living are Luster Litteral,

McClelland Litteral and Mrs Cora Conley of Sciotoville, Ohio., Gran t Litteral, Luther Litteral, W C Litteral, Mrs. Rebecca Salyers, Mrs. Kaley Meade and Mrs. Alafare Adams, all of Oil Springs. All were present at the funeral and burial.

                In her death, Johnson County has lost one of its oldest and best women. She has been a member of the Christian Church since August 16, 1859 and lived a consistent Christian life. She had always advised all about her to live a Christian life and be useful men and women, and left a bright testimony behind her.

                Funeral Services were conducted at her home at Oil Springs on Thursday morning, conducted by Revs. JJ Prater, and J D Conley. Internment was made in the family cemetery near the home,

                She is survived by one sister, nine children, fifty nine grandchildren, 89 great grandchildren and a host of friends.
