10:10pm. He was 90 yrs and 1 mo and 22 days of age.
Andy was united in marriage to Cora Alice Ison July 14, 1898 and to this union
was born 7 daughters and 4 sons. 3 daughters, May, Beatrice, and Bernice died
in infancy. His loving companion, Cora Alice, passed away Nov 16, 1965.
Andy is survived by the following children: Mrs. Sarah Lewis, Mrs Della Lewis,
Mrs. Fannie Kazee, John Adkins, Estill Adkins, Greene Adkins, Martin Adkins.
There is also 1 sister, Mrs Lourena Douglas and 3 brothers, Wiley, Elliott, and
Autie. There are also 35 grandchildren and 37 great grandchildren.
Bill Campbell
Bill Campbell died at his home Apr 11, 1978. He was 61 yrs and 2 mo old.
He was married to Rachel Stacy Campbell Mar 29, 1945.
He is survived by his wife Rachel, 4 sons, David, Chester, Roanld and Ernest and
4 daughters, Peggy, Carol, Betty Campbell and Vicki Lynn Chaney and 6
grandchildren and 4 sisters.
Martha Gullett Cole
Martha Gullett Cole was a daughter of the late Christia and Melvaina Arnett
Gullett. She was born Oct 11, 1891 and departed this life Jul 6, 1966, making
her stay here on earth 74 yrs, 8 mos, and 25 days. Martha was united in
marriage to John Cole June 5, 1913 and to this union was born 7 children. 4
sons and 3 daughters. 3 sons and 1 daughter preceded in death. She leaves to
mourn her passing her husband, one son, Joe Cole, Mrs Ashle Williams, Mrs. Ralph
Pennington, one grandson and one granddaughter and 2 great grandchildren, 2
brothers and 1 sister.
Lula Gambill
In memory of Lula Gambill. She was born Nov 10, 1894, the daughter of Eligiah
Cantrell and Margaret Ann Bolin Cantrell. Both have preceded her in death. She
was united in marriage to Chillie Gambill in 1929.
Her death occured at her home June 3, 1966 at the age of 71 yrs 6 mo and 23
days.
She is survived by her husband, Chillie and 2 sons and 1 daughter. Her sons are
John A Cantrell and Bronston Gambilland daughter Berta Gladis Cantrell. She is
also survived by 6 brothers and 4 sisters. Lonzie Cantrell, John Wallace
Cantrell, Carl Cantrell, Shell Cantrell and Earl Cantrell, and Monroe Cantrell,
Mrs Betty Holbrook, Mrs Pollie Cantrell, Mrs Lina Wright and Mrs Nora Alice
Gambill. She is also survived by 19 grandchildren
Amos Gullett
Amos Gullett, son of the late Christia and Melvania Arnett Gullett, was born
June 11, 1889 and departed this life Jan 31, 1966, being 76 yrs, 7 mos, and 20
days old.
Amos was united in marriage to Laura Wheeler Dec 9, 1919. To this uniuon the
following children were born: Mrs Edgar Blanton, Mrs. Herman Montgomery, Walter
Gullett, Archie Gullett, and Mrs Junior Preston.
Those surviving besides his wife are his children, 19 grandchildren, 4 great
grandchildren, 2 brothers, Oscar Gullett, Christia Gullett, 2 sisters America
Conley, Martha Cole.
James Helton
James Helton, 77, a retired Morgan Co farmer, died at 4:45 pm Sunday, Jan 12
(1969) at his residence at Ophir following a long illness.
Born Nov 18, 1891, he was a son of William and Alice McKenzie Helton.
Surviving are his wife, Mint Cole Helton of Ophir, 4 daughters, Mrs Jesse Hill
of Ashland, Mrs. Frank Pennington of Flat Gap, Mrs. James A Gibbs of Flat Fork
and Mrs Roy Cantrell of Ophir; One brother, Sam Helton of Ophir; one sister,
Mrs. J.C. Hamilton of Ashland; 30 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
Burial in the Helton Cemetery at Ophir.
Raymond Jayne
Raymond Jayne, son of the late Dan Jayne and Flora Williams Jane Hitchcock, was
born Dec 21, 1914 and departed this life Sept 21 1966, making his stay here on
Earth 51 yrs and 9 months.
Surviving besides his mother Flora Hitchcock and stepfather A. D. Hitchcock, are
his wife, Della Greene Jayne, 2 daughters, Patricia Ann Cordle, Ashland, KY and
Dortha Rae West of Cincinnati, OH, and one son, Danny Lee at home. 4
grandchildren, and 7 sisters and 1 brother, Eddie Jane, Salyersville, KY, Mrs.
Oscar Kennard, Mrs. Nola Bradley and Mrs Cecil Wheeler, Mrs Walter Gullett, Mrs
D. B. Gullett, Mrs Archie Gullett, Mrs Carl Wells. One sister, Rouie Altie died
in infancy.
Eady Keeton

She was united in marriage to Sanford Keeton on Jan 30, 1924. To this union
were born 11 children, of whom 2 are deceased. Surviving are 6 daughters, Mary
Lang, Nettie Pawers, Gracie Dulen, Nancy Nickle, Ruthann Sparks, Nellie Gamble;
3 sons, Cecil Keeton, Clifford Keeton, Clyde Keeton; 4 sisters also survive.

brother Crumwell Hill, also 46 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
Her parents, Jake N Hill and Margaret Ann Cantrell Hill are both deceased.
Callie Skaggs Montgomery
Callie Skaggs Montgomery was born Feb 14, 1876. She was the daughter of Atrhur
and Cindia Rigsby Skaggs. She departed this life Dec 28, 1961 at the age of 85
yrs, 10 mo, and 14 days.
She was united in marriage to M. B. Montgomery. To this union was born 8
children. Her husband and 2 sons having preceded her in death. She leaves to
mourn her loss 3 sons and 3 daughters. Mrs Minnie Montgomery, Clark Montgomery,
John Montgomery, Mrs Vennie Rigsby, Mrs. Ertha Jenkins, Elder Harlin Montgomery,
and one brother, Dickie Skaggs and also 45 grandchildren, 75 great
grandchildren.

life Wed, May 5, 1982 at Xenia OH.
She was born Oct 8, 1899 in Morgan Co and was the daughter of the late Henry and
Julia Cantrell Smith
Preceding her indeath was her husband, Ora Robbins in Sept of 1975, 1 daughter,
Nancy Robbins and 2 sons, William Robbins and Lowell Robbins.
Surviving are 2 daughters, Monnie Doolin, Wanda Cantrell, 3 sons, Winford
Robbins, Clyde Robbins and Justin Robbins, 14 grandchildren and 10 great
grandchildren. Also surviving is 1 sister, Bessie Jenkins.
Rosetta Keeton Roseberry
Rosetta Keeton Roseberry was born Mar 1, 1885. She was the daughter of the late
Harm Keeton and Mary Mandy Eldrigde Keeton. She passed away Dec 31, 1978 at the
age of 93 yrs.
She was united in marriage to Charley Roseberry who proceded her in death. She
leaves to mourn her passing 2 brothers, Leander Keeton, and Spence Keeton, plus
several neices and nephews.
Margaret Jane Skaggs
Margaret Jane Skaggs, 79, of Martha died Sat, Aug. 28, in Paintsville Hospital.
She was born Apr 16, 1903, in Morgan Co, a daughter of the late Morgan and Frona
Smith Wright. Her husband, Arnold T Skaggs, preceded her in death.
Surviving are 2 daughters, Esta Vanover, and Magdelene Tackett; 3 sons, James
Luther Skaggs, Morgan Skaggs, and Ora Franklin Skaggs; 1 sister, Deckie
Cantrell; 2 brothers, Cove Wright and Shanklin Wright, 18 grandchildren and 7
great grandchildren.
Rev. Charles Benjamin Smith
Rev. Charles Benjamin Smith was born Feb 9, 1915 in Morgan Co, KY. The son of
the late Rev. Winston Vermont Smith and Jannie Dexter Smith. He departed this
life on Aug 6, 1978 in West Liberty at the age of 63 yrs, 5 mo and 27 days.
He was united in marriage to Menthola Justice on Mar 14, 1937. To this union 5
children were born. 1 son, Jamie, preceded him in death.
Surviving is 1 daughter, Arlene Frances Smith, 3 sons, Charles B Smith Jr,

He is survived by his wife, children, brother and sisters and grandchildren.

2 boys and 2 girls - Lucy Cantrell, Ruth Smith, William Arlan Smith and James
Warner Smith.

Nancy Ellen Gibson Sparks
Nancy Ellen Gibson Sparks was born in Elliott Co, March 30, 1885, was the
daughter of David and Sallie Gibson and departed this life Oct 9, 1967 at the
age of 82 yrs, 7 mo and 10 days.
She was united in marriage to Jason Sparks, who passed away in 1954.
To this union was born 7 children, 3 sons preceded her in death. Her baby boy
(Earl Sparks) was killed in service. Surviving are 2 sons Arnold Sparks of West
Portsmouth OH, Denver Sparks of Baltimore, MD; 2 daughters (twins) Mrs. Esther
Burgess (widow) of Portsmouth, OH, Hester Major of South Porstmouth, KY; 2

Eliza Campbell Williams

A son of the late James S. Williams and Amanda Williams: Raleigh was from a
family of 6, 3 brothers and 2 sisters who preceded him in death. Raleigh was
born Feb 6 1904 and departed this life June 27, 1969, being 65 yrs, 3 mos and 22
days of age. On the 21st of Sept 1921, Raleigh was united in Matrimony to
Martha Ross and to this union was born 3 daughters and 2 sons. Martha preceded
him in death June 4, 1966. Then Raleigh was married to Ada Jenkins. The date
of marriage unknown. Ada, his second wife survives. Others who survive are his
