 Gillia Mae Tackett

      Xenia-A former Xenia resident, Gillia Mae Tackett, 80 , of Peebles, Route 1, died at 11:25 a.m. Wednesday in Chillicothe Hospital following an extended illness.

      She was born July 8, 1891, in Paintsville, Ky., one of 14 children of George W. and Angeline Nichols Blanton.

      Her husband, Simon A. Tackett, died Jan. 2, 1961.

      Mrs. Tackett was a member of the United Baptist Church of Low Gap, Ky.

      Survivors include nine sons, Johnny and Harold of Springfield, Oakel, Harry and Delbert of Cedarville, Andrew of Xenia, Wayne of Greenbriar, Tenn., Melvin of Cincinnati and Donald of Peebles; four daughters, Mrs. Myrtle Leeth and Mrs. Imojane Leeth, both of Idaho, O., and Mrs. Ola VanMeter and Mrs. Evelyn Litteral, both of Peebles; 60 grandchildren and 43 great grandchildren.

      Her body was taken to the Botkin Funeral Home in Waverly, where friends may call from 1 to 9 p.m. Friday.

      Services are to be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Smith Chapel Church, Idaho, O., in the charge of the Rev. Morton Liles.  Burial is to be in Gardner Cemetery, near Idaho, O.
