Obituary from Portsmouth Daily Times Monday, May 27,
1912
Vincent Owens, 73, died late Saturday at his home
corner of front and Chillicothe street Portsmouth, Ohio
succumbing to dropsy with which decease he had been ailing
for the past 6 years. though he was confined to his bed but two weeks.
He was a native of Kentucky and spent most of his life in
Knott Co where his trade was that as a blacksmith until infirmities of age
caused him to retirement. The family moved to Portsmouth , Ohio in 1912 He
leaves a wife and seven children Jackson Owens of Rocky,KY Sarah A Robbins,
Granville Owens, Florence Robbins of New Boston, Roy Pack of Rocky, KY.

Burial was made at Siloam KY Sunday at two O'clock he is
buried at Macoy-old Christian churchyard cemetery
His father was Harden Owens from KY and his mother was Mary Combs from KY. His wife was Margaret Ann Hicks from VA
