Auxier Man, 48 Dies Suddenly

Oscar Evans, 48, better known as "Bobby," died suddenly while at work around the mines of the North-East Coal Company on Johns Creek last Friday after- noon.

Mr. Evans had almost completed his day's work when he began to complain of severe pains in his chest, and died be- fore a doctor arrived.

A World War veteran, he is survived by his wife, three sons and two daughters, all home ex-
cept the eldest son who was call- ed to the army in January. He came from his camp in North Carolina to attend his father's funeral. Also surviving are two sisters.

Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at the Auxier church in charge of Revs. Horn and Conn, followed by burial in the Auxier Cemetery by the Jones Funeral Home.
