Millard Boyd, 66, Passes Sunday
Rites Held Tuesday For Thelma Resident
Millard Boyd, 66, died Sunday at his home at Thelma following a long illness.
Born October 6, 1890, in Lawrence County, he was the son of Jerry and Bathie Ann O'Brien Boyd.
A veteran of World War I, he had been a resident of Thelma for 30 years.
He was a farmer by occupation.
He was married January 16, 1920 at White House to Gracie Wheeler, who survives.
Surviving besides his wife are three sons, Homer Boyd, of this city, Donald Boyd and Walter
Boyd, both of Thelma, three daughters, Mary Eula Collins of Wabash, Ind, Helen McKenzie of Columbus, Ohio and Avanell Boyd of Thelma, 11 grandchildren and one brother, Lenzie Boyd of Louisa.
Services were conduced at 1 p.m. Tuesday from the home with Leonard Walters and Cullie Sparks as officiating ministers.
Burial was made in the Dawson Cemetery at Thelma.
