Jackson Owens

    Jackson Owens, 89, Route 2, Ashland, a retired farmer died Thursday at 3:25 pm at his home after a illness of four years.

    Mr. Owens was born July 4, 1865 in Lawrence Co. Ky., a son of the late Vinson and Margaret Hicks Owens. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Ashland.

    Funeral Services will be conducted Sunday at 2 pm at the Lazear Funeral Home. Burial will be in Rose Hill Burial Park. Friends may call aat the funeral home after 10 a.m. Saturday.

    Surviving are his wife Della Owens, one daughter Mrs, Denvil Sanders Rte. 1 Ashland, one brother, Grandville Owens, Portsmouth; three sisters, Mrs. Sarah Robbins, Argillite, Ky, Mrs. Florence Astrip, Forst Ky, and Mrs Martha Evans, Portsmouth and nine grandchildren.
